    Hello All

    There's a lot to go at here so you will have to bear with me. I recently hatched 6 Dorking eggs from ebay brilliant hatch rate 6 out of 6. Thing is they are blue eggs which I thought nothing of until I did a bit of research and apparently this causes a bit of controvisy in the chicken world as to wether they can be called dorkings or not. I also came across that they may be auto sexing chicks but am not sure how to go about telling. As always opinions help is appreciated.

    I thought Dorkings laid white or tinted eggs. The only blue egg that produces autosexable chicks that I know of is the Cream Legbar.

      There's one colour of Dorking that is reputed to lay blue eggs but off the top of my head I can't remember which.

            they arent true dorkings. if you are after dorkings for the rare breed survival point of view then these arent true to type. However, they do lay a good sized egg and the cockerels fatten to around 7lb.

              Ha Ha thanks Jules they've got themselves in a right bind over it. I only paid £5 for them they do have 5 toes it's a shame they are not the protected pure breed bramble I would have liked to have done my bit there.
