still looking and admiring,we are in a no go zone being so near to the wild life country park, but i see that 2 nearest stockist to us have them, have my eyes on columbian black tail, amber star, speckeldy, sussex rock, blue bells, from 1,or blue, speckeldy, black rock, amber link, warren from the other, other breeds are to far away for me,spoilt for choice, just whaing them all up,,then have to wait until some POL are available, and go shopping for their needs,

Reading the DEFRA Guidance for Higher Risk Areas like yours, I think you can have chooks but they must be in a netted run that wild birds cannot enter. I'm guessing that your run will be netted (wire) anyway. The smaller diameter wire netting is the most secure.

Definatly wire sides,am hoping to put a covered run,if not it WILL be wire,we got the grey tree rats, cats, and a few pidgeons our way, will most likly have to buy wire, the 1/2 in chicken wire off line, what we got might be a bit big, have measure it,still thinking.
