  • Clever teenagers!

My typical teens pullets have not wanted to go to bed since they were let out on Wednesday. They have gone in and out of the house when it starts to get dusk, but by the time my automatic pop-hole opener closes up, there are usually 2 or even 3 outside. This has meant that we've had to open it again and put them in. They settle very happily and come out again when it opens in the morning. Last night though, they all went in at bedtime. Pop-hole closed - Bob's your Uncle!

Mr Flum was quite overcome with their cleverness. "I feel quite proud of them!" he said, a mite dewy-eyed!

    Isn't chicken keeping lovely?

PS Amber flew up onto my knee twice this afternoon while I was feeding them chick-weed. (D'Oh! Now you know I have chick-weed in the garden!)

Awww Flum, you must be sooo proud.

I know I was when my girls started to themselves off to bed. But I was away that weekend so had OH tell me all about it. He was pleased as punch too.

Clever girls!! There is nothing quite like the sense of pride we feel when our girls do something clever!!!

I'm SURE I have chickweed in my garden, but have no idea what it looks like...lol.
I love to talk about nothing. It's the only thing I know anything about!!

It's quite 'elastic' if you pull it, it stretches. Low growing, and covers the ground very quickly if left alone. http://www.agry.purdue.edu/turf/weed...ed%20plant.jpg

That's the bunny, Two Sheds. I tear it up into short lengths too, as it has quite stretchy, stringy stalks and I don't want anyone getting an impacted crop!

I don't have it either...mind you if you saw what it had to compete with you'd know why a delicate little thing like that would have no chance
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
