My last chicks hatched overnight. I am so pleased. I set 12 of my own eggs (LS cock with three different hens) in 3 batches of 4 (under bantams). All 12 have come. They are all bright yellow and look gorgeous on the grass. I have praised my LS cock to the moon. Not that he cares too much I'm sure. But so pleased he is doing his stuff. I should have set 100 .......! Plan to do the same with the IG in a few weeks.
Out of the bought in eggs only 4 (out of 7) hatched, so not so good. And I still have my little chap (or chapess) hatched on Good Friday all by himself. We have called him Paxo so to not lose sight of the reason why he is here
I know I know, I have hatched many many chicks, but it gives me a good feeling to think I got 100% in 3 consecutive hatches.
