anyone take your helpers with you to the allotment??? i must have looked really crazy as people kept looking over and staring hehe. i have some weeds, mainly speedwell to remove from my allotment (only took over it on saturday!) and i took my omlet netting over and they were having great fun.... they werent as productive as i hoped as my son kept throwing worms over and then they were fixated on the spade lol. plus they are self manuring... cutting out the middle man!

I did it last year, 1 chook at a time under my arm then go back for another one 
Here's Daisy and Rose "helping" last summer when I first took over the allotment. I used some orange netting that had been dumped on the site to make an enclosure and put up an umbrella for them for some shade
