Hello all,
One of my chooks has been sneezing and has a rasping sound to her breathing , she also isn't laying in fact never has . She seems very bright and full of beans but I'm just wondering if there is a connection .She was wormed a couple of weeks ago.Has anybody got any ideas as to what her prob is please.

Raspy breathing sounds like mycoplasm to me - chest infection. If it's been going on more than a week then I would go to the vets and they'll probably prescribe antibiotics for her and the rest of the flock (it can be contagious). She might be hiding the fact that she's feeling under the weather because chickens do that to protect themselves from bullying. Good luck with her!

If it is mycoplasma, you will deffo need the vet, I lost a chook to it earlier this year and had to anti-b the whole flock as a precaution.
Chooks can also get infectious broinchitis too.
Does your vet 'do' chickens?
