chickens wanted in cumbria

My parents want 3 chickens and have asked me to try to find a contact that is close to them. They live outside Keswick in Cumbria and don't want to have to drive too far to collect them. They have a posh chicken run but also an acre of gardens so it will be chicken heaven for 3 lucky girls.
Can anyone help?

I depends on what kind of chickens they'd like. As a first port of call, I'd contact the Battery Hen Welfare Trust Battery Hen Welfare Trust to find out how close the nearest rescue co-ordinator is. Otherwise, have a look at the classified ads in Practical Poultry
