Hi

Sorry to post again already for advice. I bought the coop pictured for my girls and they seem fairly comfortable in it. There is a nesting box and a flap at the front which makes a ramp, but it does not have any perches inside and the girls snuggle up on . Are perches essential and if so, can anyone tell me what is the best way to put one/ some in and the best position please?

Thanks

Debbie

Perches are better as it means the girls aren't sitting in poop - otherwise you'll have to clean the coop out much more regularly. I put some stout branches in my coops which didn't have perches in them. Most chickens prefer to perch anyway, it makes them feel safer. Some don't!
