  • chick with a dirty bottom

    Hi

My polish bantam chick has always had a dirty bottom, now 5 1/2 weeks & just had to wash it again. Is there anything I can do?

The other bantams, not the same breed, are all fine.

    Thanks

Try feeding dandelion, chives and garlic - very good for the digestive system. Mucky bums in chicks can be a sign of an E coli infection although if only one is affected this may not necessarily be the case. You can just put the chives and dandelion in as fresh leaves and feed the garlic as a mash on bread or as garlic powder mixed with the pellets.
