Has anybody used one of those cheap 7 egg incubators with any success.

Thought I might request one from santa or are they a waste of money

I don't, sorry. I started with a cheapy novital (which are ruddy expensive now) and the results were hit and miss, but I think that a larger percentage of that was down to the eggs. If you are only starting out or dabbling I would say go for a cheapy to get a feel of things and if it is a bulb type make sure you have a spare bulb handy before putting eggs in.

I've never used one. So I'm not much help. Cheap or expensive they can be hit or miss, but that is mainly due to my location and weather conditions. I really struggle up here with humidity. I never thought the outside conditions would effect what was going on in the incubator, but does.

I watch a guy called 50 ducks in a hot tub on youtube (check out the garden videos as well) he raises his own ducks and bought cheap incubators off eBay from china and they seem to work very well for him. to be fair the one he uses now hold 100īs of eggs, but maybe the same principle.
I grow 70% for us and 30% for the snails, then the neighbours eats them

I did have two incubaters, the main one was a 80 egg auto turner, very good , the other one was for when the eggs get to a certain stage you have tochange to a warm place and I think a different humidity they dont all take the same time to develop, so the 80 egg was kept doing one job and the smaller one was for hatching only, if you can get eggs from a good source it helps , the worst thing was seperating the bad developing eggs and malformed chicks, although I was rasing guinea fowl , you will need a egg lamp to check on development if one goes bad it can afect the rest, easy to make though
