  • Calamity averted - hopefully!

Day 19 in the incubator and it suddenly started playing up!!! Kept switching on and off really quickly and the temperature was going up. Luckily I've got some friends round the corner who've got 2 incubators the same as mine, and 1 wasn't being used, so I've borrowed the lid with all the "machinery" on it and swapped them over. Panic station number 1 over

Just been checking the temperature again and heard "cheep cheep cheep" Wow!!!! it's only Day 19 for goodness sake, I'm not supposed to be rushing around in a mad panic till tomorrow night!!! ooooooooooooooo it's all very exciting here, fingers crossed new baby will be fine and healthy and happy

Oh yes Still in my jimjams here, I have to keep looking through the little window to see if there's any more progress and squeak the toy chick (that sounds just like a little new chick) so he/she can get a bit of encouragement

I have often had chicks hatch on day twenty (and it always catches me out!!)
Good luck with your hatching, it never fails to thrill does it?
