  • A Bakers dozen!!!!!!!!!

My thirteen chooks laid thirteen eggs today!

I'm so proud of them.........and told them so!
I even gave them a large helping of lasagne as a thankyou present.

I'm just a learner like most on here, but I must be doing something right!!!!

    Well done those chooks!!

Well done your chooks! I'm still only getting 5 or 6 a day from my 13, but it's enough for me and some to spare

          Awwww...tis a grand feeling ain't it????

I'm hoping one of mine will start laying again soon- she's the only one without a baby and has been roosting next to the boys at night again......until last night when the two 'nursin' mothers clambered into one nesting box with their babes...and she decided she fancies a girlie sleep over with them!!!(3 chooks and 3 babies all crammed into one nesting box!...let hope the chicks didn't get squashed

I'm missing my fresh eggs now!!!!

Ooh lucky you Snadger. Mine went off a bit last week, but better than ever now 12 yesterday, 11 so far today. That's from 16 'spent' hens so no complaints (apart from Sunday when I only got 6) .

Gained another customer today, so will need more Chooks soon (tee hee)...

Dunno what it was - I hadn't been in for my daily sit'n'chat session for a few days, so think they were sulking! I gave them a good talking to, and plenty of attention, and it seems to have worked, ended up with 12 again yesterday and 9 so far today.

                          Don't ya just luv 'em!

Well mine have surprised me with 8 so far today, that's the most I've had in a day since last year. Think there'll be a cake baking session coming on soon
