Default Yipeeee, Got one!

Hi All,

Finally, I can spread my wings and fly down to the local allotment site to my very own plot. Waiting way too long and should be just in time to get a few crops in this year.

It is in Wigan, about four or five minutes from my home by car. A privately run site that has been there for over 80 years.

I have already mentally filled the plot with allsorts of veg that I have sprouting in the greenhouse. I have been looking at my seedlings and wondering which I will have to ditch for lack of space but now

I can plant the softer stuff in my garden and keep the bigger plants and long term ( brassicas etc ) for the lottie.

Going to see it tonight and plan my assault, watch this space.
Darren

Nice one Darren and if you run out of fertiliser, break into Shell Star (if it's still there) and nick some. I lived in the Port 30 years ago.

I have just got back from a proper recce of my plot. Its not in bad condition at all really, the old chap who has let it go has the next door plot and seems to have lobbed all his rubbish onto mine, but I suppose that it comes with the territory.

I am planning a meet with the chap to make sure that I don't throw any of his stuff (rubbish) away which he may still want but that may get to the weekend. I will keep you posted.
Thanks all for your good wishes

Darren.

A bit belated Darren, but good luck. Post some pictures, it always interesting for us to see your plot and how you get on.

Now the hard, but very enjoyable work begins! I've got a sheaf of A4 paper that is a couple of inches thick - each with a different design, planting idea on it! Even now, I'm still not sure what I'm going to plant where!
Good luck Darren! I'm chuffed for you!
