Default Xmas spud advice

Hi all
Is it too late to start my xmas spuds off. Been meaning to do it but too busy work etc!
I was going to try a tub full and also some under cover (that ground cover stuff, forgot the name)
Everyone seems to have theirs going and I don't want to miss out.
If its any help I live in the North West/Cheshire

I haven't put mine in yeat but I have the benefit of a frost free greenhouse if you are limited to out side fgrowing I think you may struggle now but worth a go.

Our Lottie is on Moss View, a council run site just on the edge of Partington, only got it on Sunday, and lots of clearing to do ready for the spring! There's some piccies of it on the thread we started about it here Newbie seeking advice / opinions / help! Possibility of an allotment!

Do you have a lottie or is it garden growing? My folks had 1/2 acre of garden, with a veg patch about twice the size of our allotment, so I guess its in the blood, tho I havent grown veg for many moons now!

Whereabouts are you in Stockport? I used to live in Heaton Norris and then Higher Openshaw, and until last year worked in Stockport, so know the area quite well!

We got one of those cheap plastic ones NTG, do you think a few sown into some planters in there stand a chance in the back garden? (Thinking its more sheltered than the lottie)

If you can get them up against a south facing fence or wall I don't see why not. You could try wrapping bubble wrap around it as well.

Hi, Ive just viewed your lottie pics, I think i know where it is, its been a while since Ive been down there.
I think i got the veggie bug from my grandad, he had a huge garden and grew pretty much everything and I helped (or is that hindered ?) him from being a toddler. Strange how you can remember and put to use info from so long ago.
Anyway, I don't have a lottie, thought about it but I don't always have that much time to dedicate. Our garden is only tiny 22ft x 12 ft and the bed I use is 11ft x 6 ft but I squeeze stuff in the flower beds and have loads of tubs and containers.
It is in Portwood near the Peel centre and I work in central Stockport.
