  • Wormery

Not sure where I was supposed to have posted this topic, but I am looking to get a Wormery, does anyone know the best place to get one at a reasonable price?

    Thanks

I use a garden dalek planted on top of soil. It is effectively a wromery after the first 100cm of kitchen waste. I have two and alternate..

I got mine from wiggly wigglers (see link below), though they don't seem to do the one I've got anymore. I wish I'd paid a bit more and got a can-o-worms rather than an 'all-in-one' design, cos whenever I try to take out compost from it, all the worms come too

On the other hand, I think it's pretty easy to just make your own - have a google for designs.

Wiggly Wigglers, the really rural store

It is very easy to make your own wormery. I did so and it only cost about £8 for a 3 level system.

Thanks for the advice that wiggly worms website seems to have some at a reasonable price but I think I will have a go at making my own, I prefer to recycle things where possible.

          Thanks again.

Where abouts in the country are you..??

Have a look on your own councils website under waste, or recycling...

My council sells Can-of-worms system at half price. I discovered this fact after I got my C.O.W from Wiggly wigglers. Its a great system though.

I had a Can of Worms.

              They all drowned.

I now use it as a small plastic table to keep my watering can on.

Bromley, Kent.. They did give us a Compost bin really cheap from Recycle Now, but they want £99 for a wormery, so to the drawing board to design my own.

I got mine from Original Organics - although actually I got it slightly cheaper from a 3rd party through eBay (OO made it).

I'd love to know how you made yours nerobot!
