Please can someone adivis me, my Antirrhinum (magic carpet) have germanated under the propogator the seedlings are approx 1cm high. Is it time to take the lid off? Thankyou

Heated or not?
I only have heated ones, and as soon as they've broken the surface of the compost and I can see the little green 'u-bend' I take them out and put them on a sunny windowsil. -

Sorry should have explained.. reason being is, if you leave them in too long, they'll get leggy (tall, trying to reach light, etc) and weak. I take them out when I do so they become used to the temperature of the room (not heated - radiator is off) right from the get go!Comment

I have taken them out of the proporgator and put them on a shelf in GH temp today approx 10c. Thankyou for explaining in full xComment

You'll probably find that unless the greenhouse is heated the nights temperatures are too cold for them. I believe Two_Sheds just posted on a similar thread that they need a minimum of 16c day and night to thrive.
If you don't have any space indoors for them, could you pop a cloche over them/bubble wrap? I really think they'd be better off indoors on a windowsil for at least a couple more weeks! According to gardenaction.co.uk your last frost date details are:
YOUR FIRST AUTUMN FROST WILL BE IN mid October
YOUR LAST SPRING FROST WILL BE IN early May
So, I'd be careful incase your caught out with a frost over night!Comment

Thankyou, after reading yr post i was in the GH at nearly midnight wrapping all the babies up, nice and warm, My GH is heated and bubble wrapped and the temp was reading 12c. Not all our windows are double glazed so prob warmer in green house than windowsills as they are a little draughty. Thankyou again i really am a novice, but i am having lots of fun learning xComment

(i.e. if they're on windowsils, move them off them at night, and put them back on at the morning -- although truth be told, I don't because I can't be bothered
&& I'd hope our new windows should cut down drafts/not drop the temp as much !).
