  • What climbing plants could I plant to help hide my shed?

    Morning all,

I am currently getting a shed built and I plan to have a raised bed area in a 'U' shape in which I wish to grow some climbing plants up a trellis (in addition to some bulbs) to help camouflage my shed a bit.

I wish to try a combination of annual type plants & perennial whose presence should be visible all year round.

Also if anyone knows where I can get my hands on nice cheap trellises that would be top

    Thanks everyone for your advice,

    Samuel

My neighbour has a rather ugly old shed, and he planted a cotoneaster horizontalis against it. Once it got going it completely covered the side facing his house, and spread across the roof too. I'd take a picture, but last summer he cut it right down to let it regrow again. Cotoneaster likes to lean against walls, so it doesn't need any support.

    Endless wonder.

A clematis is probably your best bet. They grow quickly and produce a profusion of attractive flowers.
