  • Wet garlic question

    Hi All

Last year in my veg box we got some stuff they called wet garlic, it looked a bit like a spring onion but with a slightly larger bulb. It definitely didn't have cloves like normal garlic but it had a lovely mild garlicy flavour.

Does anyone know what type of garlic this was as I'd like to grow some, I tried googling but no success. Is it as simple as normal garlic but harvested early?

It's just garlic harvested early. I have some autumn planted and some will be getting used soon the rest will be left to fully grow.

Thanks Oldie, I'll have to remember to plant extra this autumn to harvest early next year

        Hi,

How late can you harvest garlic to be used in this way? I's this coming weekend ok?

And how do you use it? Can it be used like spring onions in salads or is it better cooked?
