Hello All,
I bought 3 strawberry plants earlier this year and potted them in a largish rectangular pot planning to keep them in my garden. Since then I have made fair progress digging and planting veggies on my allotment. So last week I bought 5 more from car boot sale. Now I would like to plant all the strawberry plants into my allotment. Question is - is it ok to transplant strawberry plants? The ones I planted earlier this year has its first flower too. I read on this forum that they are best planted with bare roots i.e. scrape compost off roots rather than plant with roots in compost ball. Also is it advisable to remove first flowers (I remember reading that too but can't find the post) so the plant grows more flowers and more fruits.
