  • Is it too late to plant flower bulbs?

    Evening all,

I am in the process of having a section of my plot in front of my shed which will be dedicated to flowers etc.

I was just wondering if it is too late to plant any flower bulbs & if not any good suggestions

    Many thanks,

    Samuel

Depends on what bulbs you're thinking of!! Alliums, Lilies and some others that I can't remember can be planted now. Its too late for Daffs and tulips - unless you've bought them cheap and don't expect them to do much this year.

I just potted some of my new dahlias (bought on sale) in the greenhouse. I have also checked the ones I had from last year and only few just got a shoot above the soil level, so I would think it's still fine. Planted more lilies and gladiolis, so yep. I think you can still plant some late flowering tulips too.
