| hi all, im new to this site but i enjoy reading the postes. Im a 13 year old lad who as just aquired a bit of my uncle muckmans allotment. The thing is i would like to do this by myself so here we go with me first question. my onion seeds have have started to sprout and i need to know wot to do now they are about 3 inches tall in one single pot. i have got about 20. thanks denny ![]() |

| hello dennix and welcome to the vine' i take it the pot is 3" and they now need potting into there own pots so they have room to grow and that's easily done as all there is to do is take the ball of compost out of the pot and seperate the onion seed and put them into seperate pots of compost. be very gentle when doing this as any damaged seed will not grow properly , and i also forgot to say make sure the soil level is the same on the seedling in the new pot.

| Now, now, Muckman. You should be encouraging the little git......I mean little treasure. . This shows aptitude and a willingness to learn from others. (it also shows a sneaky streak that you might be wise to worry about)Dennix, ignore him he's just jealous. Good luck with the onions. ![]() |
