  • This time a cucumber question

Sorry, lots of questions from me at the moment seeing as I've suddenly got all those veggies suddenly doing stuff!

I've got one (I was given two, but one didn't make it) marketmore cucumber. It has two flowers on it at the moment, both have what looks to be a teeny tiny cuke behind them. Does that mean they're female flowers? As it has no friend plant for cucumber loving..do I need to get handy with the paintbrush or will can I just sit back and wait for cucumbers?

Yes, they are female flowers. You will need to wait for a male flower before you get handy with the paintbrush (I think), but then insects will do the job for you. So just sit back and wait.
