  • Is there a glossary thread anywhere?

I keep reading these forums and am confused by words like trusses, cordons etc.
Is there a thread on here or a quick link to find out what these words mean?
I have just bought my first GYO mag and thats full of words I don't understand as a newbie gardener too?
Sorry to ask but I have to keep going to google to look stuff up and wondered if anyone had set up a thread to explain gardeners terminology.
    Thanks in advance.

you can always just go to Google and type in the word you want to look up.
Or, use the search facility on this site?

I know its a hassle having to look on google, but its the quickest way! If you had a book the time it takes to open it and look through the index, it still wouldn't be as quick as google

          Excellent, thank you.
I have saved it in my favourites.
I love google of course but I thought there might be a sticky or something on here that explains the terms to complete buffoons like me.
I have used the search facility a bit but it doesnt always explain what things mean.
However I am becoming more educated on gardening terms by the day.
When my Dad talked about chits I thought it was a word he'd made up for the sprouts on the seed potatoes
          Thanks for your advice people.
