It is completely normal; the beans grow after the flowers drop off. No flowers = no beans.

They start to flower from the bottom then continue to form upwards as they grow throughout the course of the summer. Keep picking them as soon as they're ready and they'll just keep on coming until the frosts.

Think yourself lucky Tuger. Mine are climbing the poles OK, but no sign of flowers. No flowers, no beans. BTW where do you garden? Please add your location to your profile.
