  • rocket wilting after harvesting

Hello, I have grown my rocket and is ready now for harbesting, however when I pick the leaves and wash them they seem very soft and wilting, rather that remaining firm and crisp, any tips on washing them and keeping leaves crisp would be much appreciated. .

I find you need yo use salad leaves like that almost straight away. Otherwise I use green food saver bags which seem to help keep things fresh.

If you wash them and shake them dryish and then seal in a food bag in the fridge they perk up.

Keep them in a bag in the fridge with a piece of damp kitchen paper. Works for most veg.

I grow mine in the greenhouse and don't wash the leaves
If they look clean and I can't see a bug, I eat it as it is, usually within a couple of minutes of picking.
