  • Potato question

I started chitting my potatoes about 3 weeks ago and they've all got good shoots except the Pink fir apple(left on picture). Will these eventually shoot or after this time and they havn't already mean there dud? I'm growing several different types Anya, Sante, red duke of york and piccasso and there coming on really well.

    Cheers

I think they'll shoot allright Krazy Krok. Give them time.

And Krazy Krok, Pink Fir Apple are a maincrop and you don't have to chit them.

Yes, what Alice said. You don't need to chit maincrops.

I've found PFA very reluctant to chit in the past! But as has already been mentioned they are a late maincrop and don't need chitting!

*Just had an embarassing thought..........I've still got a row of PFA to harvest, wonder if they will be ok?*
