| Hello All, this is a picture of my pathetic lettuces, ive grown them from seeds done all what it says on the packet but look at them, what am i doing wrong, everybody elses lettuces look fab and are ready to eat. hae i bought the wrong time, they are cut and come again, but nothings happening |

| they are lettuce organic cut and come again by unwins, and franchi misticanza, i am putting the seeds straight into the grow bags is that right, also its quite exposed where we are and windy would that make a difference, should i put a fram round them |

| They look like they've bolted (gone to seed) can't quite see on this laptop screen? Salad leaves like some shade and cooler temps as well as keeping them watered (as I know to my cost as the ones in our containers have headed that way! Doh!). ![]() If they're cut and come again should you have cut some leaves to encourage more? ![]()

| Hi Sindy. Much like courgettes; I pick off all the first few leaves of my lettuces as soon as I can, like Manda said; it encourages the plant to grow some more. Also, lettuces don't last long so sow a few every few weeks for a much longer supply.
