  • Peas with powdery mildew

my sugar snap peas have finally entirely succumbed to powdery mildew

I've bitten the bullet and pulled them all up, but there were still lots of pods remaining so I've harvested these. I've binned the worst of them but a few are slightly spotted with mildew - are they still edible or should I bin the lot?

    Thanks

Personal preference I would have thought. Assuming you are going to cook them then I'd think they were OK. If it's only on the surface you could scrape them.

Thanks Wendy. I decided to hedge my bets and just ate the peas and not the pods (they were mostly big enough) - next year I know to pick them faster!!
