My edible peas are about 3" tall but the various ornamental (sweet) peas are up to 7" tall. Should I pinch them all out, including the hanging basket ones? The ones that have 3 or 4 sets of true leaves, how low should I pinch them, if I should have to do so? Thanks everso.

I pinched my sweet peas back when they had 3 pairs of true leaves, and i just nipped the growing tip out. They have now bushed up nicely, and are growing away.

Don't pinch out eating peas. I don't know why but the convention is you pinch sweet peas but not edibles. It works.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
