I grew Japanese onions last year from seeds and from sets. The sets survived the winter much better than the seed grown plants!

So much so that I'm only using Japanese onion sets this year!

Hi Hawthorns

Yes I planted the same seeds 2 weeks ago and they are up and doing well, but I am not holding my breath as I live in windy Orkney
