    Default Onion advice

Hi, I had sown (lots ) of bedfordshire chsmpion onion seeds into damp compost as seen on youtube and kept beside the shed window. It's now been 8 days on and nothing as of yet! Should I start again?

Have a look at the chart is https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...ion_93787.html
It will give you an idea about the effect of temperature on germination.

For example, at 41F, onions take 31 days to germinate. At 68F they take 5 days.
These are consistent temperatures over 24 hours, not a bit of sun through the window at midday and frosty overnight. You don't say what your shed is like but, if its anything like mine, its not very warm.
