  • Old leaves

    Hi Folks

I sweeped up old leaves 2 years ago, placed them in rubble bags and forgot about them , until now. What would be the best thing to do with them. Place them in compost, use in base of containers, or something else.

    Many thanks

Have a look at them. They will probably have rotted down to leaf mould. A really good soil conditioner or can be used mixed with soil and sand as potting compost.

If they haven't rotted, wet them & perhaps mix them with a few handfuls of grass clippings.
I use well rotted leafmould to grow my spuds in: my alkaline soil gives them scab
