  • Mystery seedling...

Morning all, wondering if anyone can help identify this?

I made the rookie mistake of not using a waterproof pen to label when I was sowing... This is the last one that I'm not sure of (the other became quite clear!). I would guess at Parsnip... Any ideas?!

    Thanks :-)

Could well be a parsnip, but why is it in a pot?

        Yeah, looks like my parsnips.

They need to be sown direct though, not in pots (cos they go all fanged & twisted)

Well it's not celery, as I read that was really hard to grow!

It must be parsnip, I just done remember sowing them!

It's in pots as this was before my beds were ready, I thought I could just start them off in pots and plant them out?

Ahh well, lesson learned; they'll go fraught in the ground next year :-)

            Thanks people, helpful as always!
