1 - Wait for greenhouse next saturday

2 - go bonkers and fill it within 2 days [at the most]

3 - whine to the OH about having a polytunnel on the lottie

4 - sit back and wait for him to suggest a polytunnel on the lottie

Apart from that - it's a constant sowing/planting out/harvesting fest from now until October, and then a brief period of clearing ground and waiting for the winter veg to kick in. I can't say I ever have any 'jobs' as I don't think about it in those terms.

No doubt I'll forget something, I always do.

Rain stopped play for most of planned tasks today :-(
If it stops will start digging up plants I want to save from the front garden.
Will also sow some more seeds at the kitchen table :-)
Might have to do some housework :-(

As I am revamping the whole garden its a long list but this wil give you an idea

              1. lift rest of old path (mix of bricks and slabs)

              2. Top up raised beds with top soil

              3. cut wood to make edging for new gravel path

              4. move gravel to already created path and then for the next one which I've started

              5. move all the bricks, which I have found under the grass! to the back of the garden, will reuse when I can eventually afford a greenhouse

              6. lift whats left of the old grass

              7. dump run several to get rid of rubble old wood etc found throughout the garden

              8. pot on seedlings both veg and flowers

              9. repaint washing poles add new rope

              10. create new lawn and flower bed

That give you an idea rain today so not getting anything done off till thursday so hoping it improves aiming for it to be sorted by August when my sister visits

Oh lord I've got a list on my computer at home but it's currently at about 36 things to do! Most of the list is to do with getting an overgrown state of a garden under some sort of control. I won't list them all but here are 10 of them

                1) get compost bin set up
                2) put up 2nd raised bed
                3) fill both raised beds
                4) prepare area for tomatoes
                5) shred a 4 foot high pile of branches
                6) sort out paths
                7) clear or tidy up a bank of gone wild roses
                8) get rid of brambles around shed
                9) get rid of tree's growing in front of shed door
                10) get a roof on the shed so i can start using it! that's the most important one to me :-)

Well, now that I have finally, at long last got at least some tatties and shallots planted....
1 Finish weeding raised beds that are going to be topped up with fresh soil, build fresh sides where possible/needed.
2 Plant parsnips, carrots, salsify, scorzonera, turnips, lettuce, chinese artichokes.
3 Oh yes, order seeds for above !
4 Make up runner beans "goalpost" arbour.
5 Prick out kohl rabi, cabbage, calabrese seedlings destined for sale.
6 Sow seeds for growing in Braemar.
                  7 Plant out broad beans.
                  8 Sow runner beans.
9 Plant out rasp canes currently in wee pots.
10 Make up proper cold frames for the forthcoming runners, pumpkins, squash, etc.
Modify details and multiply by three to cover the different places I am growing ! Maybe I should just go earn some money and pay Sewer Rat to come visit...I'm sure he could do it all in ten minutes !

Oh its great to see others also have a long list to complete. I am enjoying it and it will all be so different by the middle/end of the summer.

Its typical that rain stops play just when we have the time/motivation to get on with it!

And I thought my list was long! Hi bumblebe how u doing?! I am trying to tidy up my garden. Have dug out two large dead shrubs, overcome the brambles, have planted some huecheras for late leaf colour, potted on tomatoes, leeks, squashes, asparagus peas. I've put my hanging baskets together but am ignoring the sorry state of the grass for now. Just was to gravel the whole thing over but can't afford it as want lovely (expensive) blue pebbles.

Blue pebbles do sound grand. I am intending to do my front garden this year with something that I can just put pots on and have constant flowers from bulbs and annuals etc. This is my number 3/4 job, just waiting for good weather to coincide with good time!

I should add weed kill my lawns as well cos they seem full of dandelions!

                          1. Invent a 36 hour day
                          2. Work for 30 of the 36 hours
                          3. Invent a weather machine.
                          4. Ensure sun for the 30 hours I am working
                          5. Make it rain for the 6 hours I am sleeping.
                          6. Invent an organic weedkiller that kills all known weeds dead.
                          7. Apply said weedkiller to my 5 acres.
                          8. Only take on customers that pay on time and do not run up large debts.
                          9. Invent veg that walk out of the tunnelthemselves and plant themselves.
                          10. Mutate these veg into self harvesting at the sound of my whistle.

Damn, thats my favourite bit, except for eating them, mind you, I haven't got a huge amount to grow so I'm biased

                              Hmmm...jobs...
                              Water seedlings
                              Pot on other seedlings
                              Make a greenhouse
                              Turn compost
Make more beds at side of garden for, dare i say it as a non-flower grower...flowers! ::waves at bees::
Make another at least 2 beds since there's not enough room for all the veg I seem to have planted
                              Plant potatoes
                              Cut grass
Decide where to put the comfrey
Finish filling the side bed for carrots and lettuce.
