  • My First Video Log!

Moderators - feel free to ask this post to be on it's way and move along quietly if it doesn't belong here!

As a newbie I thought maybe other newbies might benefit from my video-log? Maybe not, who knows. It'll be 8 minutes of your life you'll never get back.

    Doesn't that sound appealing?

Do more. I had 8 minutes spare anyway.

He He loving the fly porn. Good for you for having a go - and you've got a lot going on in your little garden. Keep it up and I'll watch, although it took about a half hour to load as we're long way from the box and have slow broadband - still the view from my front windows makes it all worthwhile.

ps thought i saw a similar looking rocket yesterday in a seed pack - if i go back to the shop today, I'll make a note of it - strange it doesn't taste like rocket though.

The Mystery Rocket Saga comes to a conclusion

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who has commented on my recent posts about the Thompson and Morgan rocket seeds that didn't seem to be rocket. As you know, I was getting quite irate.

Yesterday in a blind fit, I dug the lot up. It was spread over several areas of the garden and in pots too. I marched off to the garden centre to buy some 'proper' rocket and promptly scattered it everywhere.

Last night I looked back at my detailed plan of the garden that I did back in feb, in PowerPoint no less. With pictures! To my horror I fond that the mystery rocket is indeed CALENDULA

The green flies love it - DuH it's CALENDULA !!
I've planted it all over the garden - DUH it's CALENDULA !!
It doesn't taste like rocket - DUH it's CALENDULA !!

I can only apologise to all who invested their time and energy on this case. I am a complete moron of giant Marrow proportions.

My blog is sure gonna get a piece of my mind later.

I feel like I've performed an act of racial hatred against the calendula... Plus those seeds were from my wedding day. We're all doomed I tell ya.

Are you saying that you deliberately planted the aforementioned calendula, and then forgot about it and planted rocket on top?

Because that wouldn't be funny. At all. Not one little bit.

Lol Chitfaced! I have read about your mystery rocket for a while now and just want to thank you for giving me a chuckle about your calendula debacle. Hopefully you can see the funny side too

Your video log was great, I enjoyed having a nosey into your pots and comparing them to how some of my things look/ what stage my containers are at. Thanks for sharing, look forward to seeing some more too

It's worse. I planted rocket where I wanted calendula....

Hi Bronwen, I hope you are doing well! Yes it was pretty funny and now have a habit of running out into the garden and tasting the leaves on things just in case I've planted wrong things everywhere. For reference, ixia leaves look a lot like spring onions!
