Default Mulching

Anyone know if you can use recently shredded privet as a mulch for veg or flower beds?

I would put it in some old compost bags then water it with a Hi nitrogen liquid feed (higher the better) & leave it tucked away in the garden soemwhere for about 6 months or so. If you put this on your garden "raw" it will rob notrogen from the soil to break down the woddy stuff. Far bett er to compost it away from the beds than add later. If you can leave it till next year so much the better.
