What variety are you growing Angie? I'm growing Minipop, and I've now got tassles showing.

I've posted on the thread on Veg growing - we've been harvesting our minipop for the last few weeks, and are getting around 6 cobs off the tallest (5ft) plants, and 2 off the shortest (2ft) plants.

The thing coming out the top will be the male flower. If this is starting to develop the cobs should start soon too - you'll notice bulges appearing at the leaf joints, and then tassels will form out of the top of them - this is when you pick them.
