  • Mange Touts a bit off colour....

In the past week or so My Mange Tout peas have one a bit pale and yellow. Would this be them coming to the end of their season - even if it's only really just begun - or is it an indication that something slightly more sinister might be afoot? I've had quite a few handfuls of the this week - all of which were totally delicious - but am worried that they might, somehow, be ailing in some way. The outer leaves and the newest leaves at the top of each of the plants are all OK but the ones further down the plants are now a slightly insipid sort of lime yellow kind of shade...Has anyone experienced this before?...

The older leaves do go yellow, part of the ageing process.

Ah, right then, that's good. Well, 'not good' because it means they're on the way out, but not yet, we hope. Not yet...(Not just yet, anyway)...

My mange tout have been yellow this year too. The pods are all pale. It's definitely a green variety, I think u can get a yellow one? Wondered if it meant the plant was lacking in something? They still taste good though.

Mine have been the same, I think it's been too hot for them lately
