If you did then I'm sure you could bottle that formula.

I'm sure they will be up and away as soon as it warms up. They are pretty indestructible.

I dug up the last of my JA's yesterday and some of them were just starting to sprout. And in one of my walled gardens, I planted about 40 last week but I noticed some JA leaves where the last gardener hadn't been too particular about making sure he had lifted them all - so don't worry - your JA's should appear shortly.

I don't want to put a damper on things, but I replanted some JA tubers straight away without drying them out one autumn a few years ago and they all rotted away. So they're not that indestructable

We dug up a load from our lottie last weekend to bring out here- and some of them were just showing signs of sprouting under the soil!

Give it a couple or so weeks- the soil is just starting to warm up at that depth!

I was given some a few weeks ago, for various reasons I have not been able to get them in the ground yet.

They are looking shrunken and a bit dried out, would it be a good idea to soak them in water overnight or something as it will be a few more days still before I can get them in.

Yup- I would- but not for too long or they'll go slimey!
or......( you could wrap them in paper and stick them in the fridge )

BUT to be honest they should be fine!
( why not bung them in a bucket with some soil so they can start growing- and then transplant them when you're ready??)

Thought about putting them in a bucket with some compost but decided against it as hope to have them in the ground by start of next week.

I put mine in a really shady spot about 5 weeks ago and they are now coming through about 3 inches high. But I only have 5 plants so just enough for the whole street lol
