Spring Onion for sure you need to thin.
To thin just gently tease them up and replant

It depends really on how thickly / thinnly you sow. I always sow spring onions directly and thinnly enough that I don't need to thin, same goes with radish. Other things I sow in modules and usually pot on.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

You don't need to thin out if you sow thinly

There isn't any variety of veg that particularly needs thinning: it's something you do if you've been over-generous with the sowing

All of them apart from lettuce and things like lettuce.

You dont thin them out but cut them off at the ground. You then get the nutrients from the roots of the seedling.

          Hope this helped!
