  • How old are you and how long have you grown ya own?

I was just wondering what the age range is on here?

Im 33 (34 friday !) and have been growing my own veg for about 4 years (and still a novice), if someone told me 5 years ago id be a fruit and veg growing freak i would have laughed in their face!

    I flipping loves it though!

          42. About 5 years for tomatoes and runner beans. About 3 years for veg in tubs. This is the first year I've gone a bit mad.

38 and like Flum since I was let loose with radish and spring onions as a nipper. However I really got back into big time since the arrival of the kids!

I'm 33, lived on a farm all my life so there's always been something growing! More interested now in polytunnel growing and trying different kinds of veg, also got plans for other parts of the garden but it won't all happen this year.

68 this year and been growing things longer than I can remember. Had about 5 years with a small market garden when the kids were young. Eldest daughter now has her own gardening business, so its rubbed off!!!

Now with lots of space am into it big time.

I'm 33... not for much longer
This is the first year I am really trying to grow a range of things I want to eat!
I have always had a go at bits and pieces since I was a child though.

                    Interesting thread to read

49 - although probably not that old mentally --- some say!!!

Had hubby get me a raised bed 2m x 1m this year, so getting a bit more into it. Containers and plastic greenhouse for the last 3 years. Lots to learn before I can say I know what I'm talking about.

50 and I've been growing since childhood too - though I had a few years recently of not being physically capable of gardening.

I'm 42 and have always had something growing - although more in the last 12 years after moving out of London and getting a garden.

If I recall correctly- the main age range of the Vine is 30-45 ( 'search' is down so I can't check- but there was a poll a while ago)

The total age range was roughly 10-85

Personally though...I'm older than me teeth

...I've been GYOing for about 20yrs...(and OH about 45 yrs)
