  • How to ensure that the plants inside my Greenhouse are pollinated?

    Hey folks,

Usually I have my greenhouse doors closed to keep the warmth in and also otherwise birds tend to fly in + poop on everything when I'm not there. When the sun's out, I see quite a few bees in the garden but I've never seen any in my greenhouse.

I would like pollinators to help my berries ect that are inside the greenhouse.

How do I ensure that my plants inside the greenhouse get pollinated?

You have to ventilate your GH in warm weather - otherwise your plants will fry.
Most fruit plants should be outside in summer anyway.

What plants are you growing in there that worry you? As said above, the insects get in through ventilation but some things don't need active pollination anyway.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Tomatoes, chillies, peppers, aubergines, cucumbers, melons, all fruits and in my tunnel

          Smarty pants!
Its was the mention of "berries" that made me think of fruity fruits

Well, I have tonnes of different things growing in there but the things I am specifically wanting to be pollinated are my tayberry, 'patio' cherry tree and my little grapevine. Later on this year I'll move the tayberry outside but right now it's thriving inside the greenhouse so the things I am concerned about mainly is the patio cherry tree and grapevine as they will not be going outside

              Thanks for the help

Make a frame of chicken wire to rear up against the open doors. Insects in, birds out.
