It depends on what the outside plants are, and if they have been hardened off properly but if in doubt, as Fi says, it won't hurt.

It depends what you're growing Derek and where you are in the country. If you go into personal profile you can show us.
If you're in doubt I would fleece the lot - it can do no harm.

Yup - I'd fleece too!
My carrots and lettce are under fleece most of the time to keep away munchie things..but also it helps keep in some of the moisture if we have a sunny spell!!!(!!

i live in sw france and i'm going to engerland next week for a week ..i'm checking the 10 day forecast and if it shows any slight possibility of frost i'm fleecing......even here ....and i've got row of spuds on my plot (see photo on my page)

my fear is going away and coming back to devastation

until recently i think i could have relied on neighbours to pop in but i think we've fallen out of favour since we got a puppy - he has only barked a couple of times, but boy has that been mentioned!!! He's not 4 months old yet!!!
