  • Hardening off

    Hi
After seeing the 'Hi there' thread below with all of you cramming pots onto every vacant sill, I just wondered when plants needed to start being hardened off and how long the process takes?
I have a conservatory full and am worried if they go out too soon then I will lose them all. Should I be opening the conservatory door to the outside during the day?
When can they go out for the day and just brought back in at night - and how long do I need to do this before they can be planted in final positions?

Many thanks in advance- and for all the advice received so far - you're a great bunch of grapes!

I would open the doors & windows during the day & then Shut them up at night for a couple of weeks, then if you can safely leave a window open at night for a couple more weeks than the should be OK.
Mine go from heated greenhouse to cold greenhouse to coldframe as space dictates
