  • Growing Aubergine

    Hello all,
I sowed some black beauty a month back (late I think). The seedlings are now 3-4 inches tall, in 1 pot, have 4 leaves each and they r indoors. When can I transplant these into individual pots and when can these move to the green house (my green house remains open during night too as its getting warmer)? Most important of all am I very late with the aubergines?

Meanwhile I bought a large aubergine plant from car boot sale and have potted it in a grow bag and I can see two flowers too This plant is outside (not in direct sun) and at night if the temp drops below around 14degree I cover it with a fleece. Am I on the right track. I read somewhere that they like to be misted with water. Also so they like a lot of watering?

Sorry for asking so many questions...as u can c its my first time with aubergines and would like to get it right. Thanks a lot in advance for your responses!

I would pot them on into individual pots, harden them off for a few days and put them out in the greenhouse permanently after that.
I've got one that I bought as a young plant from B&Q a few weeks ago, and it's gowing great guns in my growhouse.
Just make sure you harden them off I reckon and they'll be fine
