Hi,
I noticed what appears to be some sort of fungus in my raised bed where my sweetcorn is planted. It's currently covered by a blow-away but I wondered if this is a problem at all.
I've looked online and can't find anything that resembles it and it's been too wet to get out with my camera so a description will have to suffice for now.
**update** as if by the magical powers of the interweb, I've stumbled accross what I believe it is - Rhizopus:
Rhizopus arrhizus (images of British biodiversity)
They are very thin white shoots like watercress or something, about 3-5cm tall and at the top is a head (like a match stick) which is a black sticky liquid.
Can anyone tell me if this will be a serious problem and how best to tackle it?

It will thrive in damp dark conditions, so take those away and you should be ok.
