Default first year attempt at growing update :-)

This being my first year attempting any sort of growing my own I really didnt know how it will all end up.
my lovely other half built me a raised bed and i had my first 8 x 6 greenhouse delivered and is now housing, cucumbers, chilli plants, pepper plants, and toms.

I did the classic first time grower trick, bought lots and lots of seeds and put them all in at same time in my eagerness spread all over my house on windowsills for few weeks, and now have about 8 HUGE courgette plants 7 cucumber plants about seven toms and lost count how many chilli and peppers!! LOL there is only 2 of us in this house.... plus in my raised beds got carotts, spring onion, lettuce beetroot, radish and sweetcorn. lots of herbs and spinich.

So far i am really excited at how well things are coming on no flowers on chillis or peppers yet by toms and cucumbers taking off now ,but i do believe ill be eating veg for breakfast lunch and tea if they all ready for harvest at same time!!!!

Is it a newbie feeling or will every year feel this good looking out my kitchen and thinking, ive done that!!

This forum has been invaluable so far you are a knowledgable bunch on here helping all us newbies..

Hi

From my experience, it actually gets better.

And you learn quite quickly to stagger the sowing as you have already gathered.

Get some strawberries in if you can [and if you like them] seriously it's fab to go out every day and have them fresh.

Well done Cotters. You'll get better every year - and yes, that wow feeling never goes away. It's the same thrill every year. Enjoy it.
