Default First Harvest!

Last night I had my first rummage in the potato sack, result: 2 large, one medium and five marbles!!! Fantastic! Pentland Javelin planted 14 weeks ago.

So thrilled, I boiled them and then invited the parents (who live in the same street) to come and taste them, I would have invited all the neighbours as well but there were only 8 potatoes in total

and as if that wasn't enough I also ate the peas out of two pods of my Rondo pea plant. They didn't make it as far as the kitchen, and I did share some of them with my OH and daughter.

Just wanted to share the excitement with you, thanks, shall get back to work now!

And I'll bet they tasted absolutely fantastic! Got a handful of my own potatoes last week (first time growing them) and they were delicious. Wishing you continued success !

Last night had a bar-b to celebrate the first delve into my spud sack of charlottes 'perfick'.

also picked some spring onions and beetroot (albeit small), this is great.

Well done LumpyJmper. My peas never make it to a pot. I just eat them, or if they make it to the kitchen they go raw in the salad bowl. Enjoy it all.
