Default Feeding

I am currently sowing some more spring onion, radishes and potatoes into containers, and am also about to add some feed (phostrogen) to my pots via watering, and just wanted to double check that I can add it to all my pots.

They are potatoes, carrots, spring onion, radishes, parsnips, beetroot and garlic.

Wondered if that is sufficient for the time being or do I need to add some nitrogen stuff as well at some point?

Thanks!

The phostrogen should be fine Shelle, but I wouldn't give anything to the carrots. They don't like rich feeding and will just fork. I believe the parsnips are the same but can someone else confirm that.

Fraid so! Carrots and parsnips thrive on neglect except for watering. Anything resembling food and you get Esther Rantzens.
Geoff Hamilton did a clip for GW around 20 years ago about 3 guys living in a lighthouse (they had to, they worked there). One was a keen gardener and took a couple of bags of peat with him one year. He mixed it in with the sand the lighthouse was surounded by and grew fantastic carrots and parsnips. Could have been a bad TV I had, but they all looked orange ???????(the lighthouse keepers that is)
