  • Enough light for my seeds????

    Hi one and all
I have a conservatory on the back of my bungalow which doesnt get direct sunlight at any time of the day Will it be light enough to put my seed trays in? I am worried that the seeds wont germinate or may get too leggy looking for light???
Unfortunatly I dont hve the option of putting them onto windowsills due to fitted blinds in all windows
Any help would be very welcome

    Nothing ventured, gothmaga!

You may get leggy seedlings but I'm sure they'll recover. If not, you've still got many months of sowing left to try again.

Conservatory will be better than a windowsill, even if not direct light (provided not actually in shadow). Do you have to squint when you go into the conservatory when the sun is out? That would be a good sign for the plants

But I'm afraid sowing early achieves nothing if you don't have enough Light, Heat and Moisture

I put seeds in our boiler room at work, which only has one translucent window. They germinated fine, within about 10 days, so well worth a go.
